The reason I mention this is because then asked myself why I waited so long.
Never would I have done that in real life and when a poster has asked about toxic people, it seems almost unanimous to get them out of your life.
Any insight to why being more lenient on here?

No idea but you did the right thing.

I have 12 posters on my list and my time on cd is ever so much more fun. I don't argue, don't deal with the snide and rude posters...they get reported. My goal is learning, sharing and enjoying others.

You will love this feature! It works wonders.

For me, I don't like having people on ignore because it disrupts the continuity of discussions. I do however have a mental list of people I won't engage with.

I find I’m okay with that because the posts/comments are generally not centered around that one poster, but if it is then I don’t need to waste my time om that thread anyway

You can easily remove their name from list to look at a discussion...I usually don't want to hear what they say, the snide and rude ones.

There is an option to 'View post' and the system shows that there is a post by the ignored user. No need to remove one off the list.

Believe me, there will be very disruption since with two of them, nobody ever responds to them anyway!
One gets quoted occasionally but not much
The third is one that seems to think he has to respond to almost every post he reads with, not only with voluminous posts filled with detailed suggestions but also myriad personal stories. Takes a lot of scrolling to get past

It will be on the line where it shows the ignored user name is on, I think. The only person I ignored actually ended up being banned.

I would have to put someone on ignore to go through the steps. .

Hmmmm. Who to ignore....

It shows up when one of the "ignored" posts does.
