I might get together with my childhood friends/high school friends sometime in the next 10 years, but it is impossible now.

All of my old friends are dead, mostly from old age. 5 years ago, they held our last class reunion. It was at one table in the dining area of an Indian Casino. They called me and begged me to travel 1,200 miles for a 2 hour dinner at that casino in the open dining area. When they read me the list of those that had died, I was the only one left of my friends group. I was also the only male member of our class (small rural school where we had buses running as much as 50 miles to bring in students). They begged me to come, as I was the only possible male left of our class. I did not go to the reunion.

For me, it’s been 11 years since High School, and I really only speak to one, and even we only get together maybe once or twice a year. But when we do get together, it’s like no time has passed so that’s cool.

But everybody else from High School, I never see or talk to anymore besides the occasional Facebook/Instagram “like” or “Happy Birthday” wishes. Interestingly, for the first few years after High School, almost all my friends were those from High School. We drifted apart as the years went on and I eventually moved away. Never really had a “falling out.”
I wouldn't say that I keep in touch with any high school friends but I've attended all but one HS reunion, which my HS class has every 5 years. Last year was out 45th reunion.

My kids have done a much better job than I have in staying in touch with their HS friends. My son graduated in 2004 and get together with a group of HS friends and their spouses every month for dinner. My daughter graduated from HS 10 years ago and is always getting together with her girlfriends from HS even though they live in different parts of the country. OTOH, I'm pretty sure none of my three kids have ever attended a HS reunion.

Nope. Never been to a high school reunion either. It will be 25 next year. Have no desire to go.

I'm still in 11th grade, so I'll be answering for my pre-High School friends.

Until a week ago, I did with quite a few. Now I've lost all my friends, old and new, because no one was truly there for me. I sought to (dis)prove it per mom's request and rightfully expected the worst.

Yes. I graduated from HS almost 20 years ago and I still talk to my best friend several times a week (we live 1 block away from each other)

I "lost" the rest of my HS friends when they moved to other countries but I am still in touch with them through FB messenger. What's sad is our communication is now limit online, I don't get to spend time physically with my friends anymore.
