Unfortunately for me, my dad decided to screw my mom without proper birth control. I never asked to be alive nor do I particularly want to be alive but let see where all of this takes me. Life has meaning. You're conceived, you live, you die and then you rot back into the earth.
This is such a hard question. I have come to the conclusion that we are born by happenstance, but that we're lucky enough to have it within our power to do tons of fun things with the time we have. So even if there's no "point," we're still pretty lucky in the scheme of things.
Make your purpose to be happy and have good times.
That's also my literal answer to the question posed:
as in, of course I wonder about these things.
So do many others, hence the branch of thought called Philosophy-
and existence of the aforementioned CD subforum.
To tackle the OP's query seriously, though:
I don't think there is a purpose, other than life replicating itself (at whatever scale, be it DNA or galaxies)-
so we each individually/personally "make it up" or invent "meaning", based on how our biology & environment interact & manifest...
I read and think a lot about biology & sociology, trying to comprehend myself & the world around me.
God meant for us humans to be on this earth, along with the animals. I know for me personally, I'll ultimately be happy with a nice house...not too big, not too small, a nice car or two, & the ability to travel 2-3 times a year. Also a spouse to share life with. I don't even know if having kids is in the cards for me at this point. That's all I ask & I'll be a very content person who's satisfied in life. I think in my lifetime, I should be able to accomplish that much.
