Hey Guys, I was wondering if I could get some help on her on where to look for housing/apartments. I am not from North Carolina and I am trying to find a place where my husband and I could live. I'm trying to search for areas around the south east of Fort Bragg. I was wondering what everyone thinks about the city Shannon..Fayetteville( dont really wanna go there, i've heard nothing but bad from there)..Hope Hills, & Red Springs.
You need to see Fayetteville first before you rule it out. Most people who will tell you negative things about Fay/Fort Bragg have never lived here. Its not a bad place to live. Good luck with your search!
you couldn't pay me to live anywhere close to Ft. Bragg, I work there and drive an hour each way because to me that's preferential to getting my house and car broken into on a frequent basis. The area is the most crime ridden area I have ever been to, except of course DC.
Fort Bragg and Fayetteville are not part of the Triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill). You may get more response by placing a thread in the North Carolina forum here //www.city-data.com/forum/north-carolina/
Fayetteville is not as bad as everyone says it is. The closest cities to Fort Bragg would be Hope Mills, Raeford, and Spring Lake. It's all about preference, but you really should experiance Fayetteville before judging it.
