I have heard there is going to be a C&P (Compensation & Pension) dept. in the local Asheville Hospital to take some of the load off of Winston-Salem. They would be hiring Physician's Ass. and Doctors. Also, don't know when, finally, there is a lot of pressure from all groups to computerize the whole VA system, which means there will be lots of IT jobs. I have no clue where this would take place, but if this is your expertise, check with the VA online site and see if you can get any information. Lots of hearings on the state of the Veteran's Affairs recently. The backlog of Veterans is now at 1 million and will keep growing if they do not solve this big problem. I hope this helps some folks to get work. Good Luck.
