Hey everyone I'm new to this site and am hoping for some help with the NC Fort Bragg Area.
My boyfriend is getting stationed at Fort Bragg and we will be moving in August. We are both 27 and he has a 3 year old daughter. We are looking for somewhere outside of Fayetteville but within 20-30 miles of Fort Bragg. Any suggestions on nice/safe cities to live for families?? Also any suggestions on daycare facilities or pre-k centers???

Hope Mills, Grays Creek, Raeford, Eastover. Lots more nice places than those. It is really neighborhood by neighborhood in this area. Lot's of places for pre-K. Many many churches have Pre-k and daycare programs. My daughter went to St. Ann's and it was great. I could recommend Koala daycare. They are the biggest private provide with locations all over town. (full disclosure) We are friends with the owners.

Does it matter if it's a house or apartment? Price range? What will you be doing if anything for employment?

Eastover, Stedman....close enough to Fayetteville/Ft. Bragg to be convenient, but small town enough every one knows everyone and looks out for one another.

zthatzmanz28 - Would prefer a house, duplex/townhome with backyard. Around $1000 or below, could possibly go a little higher then that. I am looking at Adult or Juvenile probation as far as employment (Was adult probation officer for 4 years and Juvenile now for 1 year), but I am also open for going into a different field depending on who is hiring.

Cumberland Detention Center may be hiring?? Also there is Harnett Couty around Lillington along NC 210...Our neighborhood has 2 or 3 military families. |

Carolina Lakes is a great, safe community with lots of military families! The town is growing, so there are plenty of childcare options. Only a fifteen minute drive to Fort Bragg!
