Keep in mind that these d* things can change direction hourly. I checked last night and the predicted landfall was on the western edge of the Florida panhandle . By next week, it could go east (that would be best) or west.

It's just "That Time of the Year" again

Predictions are this one are changing, originally they thought it was going by LA, TX, now meteorologists say by late in the week it will be a hurrican and could curve north or northeast.

the center of Ernesto is predicted to be south of Charleston end of this week and it is moving northeast but away from the coast.

The farther north Ernesto makes landfall, the more of an impact it could have on Carolinas weather.

If is stays south, it probaby will not effect the Carolinas but if it hits by the panhadle, it would directly effect central carolina with heavy rain and severe weather.

Most forecasters note it is too early to really tell as there are a lot of changes that occur.

For those in the area, keep a watch and stay safe !!

I wouldn't rule out North Carolina being affected by this hurricane just yet. The forecast I saw before had it entering the gulf and affecting places as far southwest as Louisiana. That doesn't seem to be the case now.

I doubt it will hit here. It's already halfway to the Gulf. I could see it hitting Tampa or somwhere else on Florida's west coast, but it's beyond the point of hitting the Atlantic Coast. How tragic would it be if it hit New Orleans again?

Tragic? I think hilarity would ensue.
