BB guns are not regulated in N.C., except perhaps that children under a certain age can not buy them, I think the age is 18 for rifles or shotguns and no permit required, a permit is required for handguns and another permit (the state, as do most states, gladly accepts tax money from its' citizens) and a certified class on firearm safety and the laws regarding concealed carry, is required for concealed carry. No permit is required for an open carry of a handgun.
I am pretty sure that might be a city deal, bird sanctuary and such. A fellow I know has a very high dollar pellet gun and he says it is for eradicating squirrels. This fellow, tells me, that he has to be careful shooting cause he is not supposed to in his hometown. But he tells me he has really cut into the squirrel population. He said he was warned by his neighbors of some folks that would turn him in, since they for some reason like squirrels, so I suppose in his locale, you could not shoot a bb gun, legally. I know nothing firsthand, just what this fellow told me.
EDIT: Again, putting 2 and 2 together, I don't think you will have any possession issue, but you might have an issue shooting within city limits...at least that is the impression I got from this guy I was talking with.
Wait till the game warden gets him for hunting out of season. They can seize property. So if he is in his house it is possiable . No House for killing a rat with a furry tail.
i mostly don't enjoy shooting, but enjoy the model and playing with hanggun, i guess it's a man thing, i will be perfectly happy to have a realistic model of CZ 75 D compact, even if it doesn't shoot anything
Most cities do not allow you to shoot in your backyard or within 100 yards of a dwelling so check your local ordinances.
