I'm soooooooo nervous, I'm suppose to leave Wednesday early morning to drive to N.C. from N.J. The weather is really scaring me. Then I'm suppose to leave saturday afternoon. I don't want to drive in the rain or Hurricane for that matter. Any suggestions?????
I will be going to Cary. I'm leaving N.J. Wednesday night, well like 4 in the morning to get into Cary by Thursday around 1pm
If you're moving to NC, you have to get used to it. I saw seven hurricanes during my years in the coastal plane of NC. You get used to it, and if you don't get killed, can be kind of exciting.

If you are driving back saturday, just keep an eye (no pun intended) because here in the northeast they anticipate us getting rain and winds from it either sat or sunday but that keeps changing too -

LOL! Thunder and lightening are rolling in here now along with rain. My DH says that a weather forecaster is the only job he knows of where they can so often be wrong and still keep their job
As grateful as I am for the rain I hope we don't have the downed trees, downed power poles, power outages here in the Triad that we did with Roberto. My prayers are with those in the coastal areas.
Hey startpackinn,
Go ahead and leave to NC. I'm in Miami and the storm feels like your everyday shower nothing big. Mountains in Haiti destroyed the storm so all we're having is light winds with some showers. Its not even raining right now so don't worry.
