I heard that it is very expensive to put a car on the road in NC. Would someone please outline the expenses and fees required by the government? Thanks!!

One thing I didn't find on the DMV site is the Notary fee - at the state DMV office it was $2 and added to my bill. At the contractor office it was $5 for one signature ($7 for 2), and you had to have cash - they do have an ATM there for ya, with probably a $5 service fee!! :0)
