What can I expect to be deducted on my paycheck and at what rate?
Here in CA, these are the following:
Federal Income tax currently at approx 10%

Social securtiy tax at approx 5%
Medicare tax at approx 2%
CA SUI/SDI tax at approx 1%
CA State income tax at approx 1%

First NC is in the same country as CA, thus your Federal, FICA, and Medicare are going to be based on the same criteria here as they were in CA.

NC withholding like Federal is based on your income and the number of dependents that you claim on the W9 you filled out with your new employer here in NC.
