I have lived in Dunn now for 30 years, coming from Raleigh. It is a great small town. Low crime rate, great schools and lots of country living. No, there is no mall, but you can buy most anything here that you can in Fayetteville or Raleigh, with a lot less congestion on the roadway. We have great activities such as PAL (Police Activity League) which interacts adult supervision with the cities youth in all kinds of activities. These people running Dunn in the ground do not know what they are talking about. I guess they are just use to dirty and high crime rate cities.
And to answer Ceezer ... NO there is no IHOP, matter of fact there isnt much to be desired as far as the restaurants go here either. 1 of my BIGGEST complaints. I like variety. If you want options you have to go 30 min. to Fayetteville or 45 to Garner.
The deli at the corner of Broad and Wilson in downtown Dunn is excellent. You should try it, if you haven't already.
I saw there were some not so nice comments about Dunn-Erwin in this thread but they were from almost a decade ago, from the outside I thought this town looks quite decent, how is this place doing these days? Has it become a nicer place to live in general? Thanks for any input.

I think it depends on what you are looking for Dunn to be for you. I grew up there, my family all still live there, but I will never move back.
Is Fayetteville North Carolina a good place to move to?
Depends on the area
