Hey now. I am anticipating moving to the Lenoir area mid '08. I will be trying to get my home on the market by March, hopefully. At what point do I involve a N.C. realtor(buyers agent)? I kinda need a time frame to go by. Your thought/ opinions will be very appreciated.
Thanks, fredda

In my opinion, it is fine to involve a NC Realtor® at almost any point, just be very clear up front as to when you are planning on buying and how selling your home will impact your time line.

I think you increase you odds of finding a good buy in the right neighborhood if you start looking early.

Just put the home owners or the Realtor® through a lot of hoops since you don't want to buy for a while.

I just started working with a couple who probably aren't going to buy for six to nine months. They had a morning in the area, and I drove them around, showed them neighborhoods and important services.

We drove by a lot of homes, ones that they liked I pulled the flyers for them, more for pricing reference down the road than anything.

I showed them one vacant new construction home that I thought was reasonably priced. Again it was a reference point for them in their travels and decision making.

They aren't even sure they are buying in this area, but I was glad to provide them with that type of service. I my opinion it was good for them and good for me also.

I also referred them to a Realtor® in another area several hours away who was willing to do the same thing.

They're picking their area in a very deliberate way. I'm sure they will do the home in the same way.

Hope that helps,

David Sobotta

If you need a realtor in the Lenoir area, I'd like to recommend Donna Laws with Baker Realty.

We used her when we moved there and she was awesome and very helpful to us even after we moved in with getting acclimated to where everything was.

Website is Baker Real Estate, New Construction, Property Management - 2310 Hickory Blvd.,Lenoir, NC 28645 Phone: 828-726-0003
