Hello, my husband is in the Army and we are going to be moving to NC. Can somebody tell me what are good neighborhood around the fort bragg area?? we have a son that is 1yr and another one on the way. thanks
it doesn't matter if is a house or an apartment. our price range is between 800-1000. i don't know if we are going to be there for so long but probably yes.
Some people on the forum have found a good place in Hope Mills to the south of Ft Bragg. Try searching the forum for "apartments Ft Bragg". I also suggest looking toward Sanford, north of Fayetteville, where there are many houses out in the country, if that's your interest.
If you know you are not going to stay long; then live on post. If you are going to be here a few years you can buy a nice house (even new construction homes)in a good neighborhood for less than $1,000 a month. Rental rates can be high here. We just helped a couple who were looking to rent for $1200 a month and after showing them what rental homes were out there they decided to buy a new construction home that will go for $925 a month including taxes and insurance. It really depends on your situation. There are hundreds of options in the region. Folks at Fort Bragg live in a 5 county area around the post. You can find single family homes to rent or fancy new apartment complexes.
