There is over two dozen in Charlotte now and some in the suburbs.
7-11 is also purchasing about a dozen existing stores west of here, so it appears they are gearing up for a comeback.
As for the OP if you are interested in a convenience store you can snap up an independent for a reasonable amount of money. Independents stores seem to be one of the few business ventures that can compete with the chain stores.
