North Carolina's unemployment rate fell to 9.3% in October, its second straight drop. That's still above the national rate of 7.9%.
North Carolina added 8,000 jobs in October after seasonal adjustments, according to a payroll survey of employers included in the state data. The largest gains were in the leisure and hospitality sector, which added 3,600 jobs.

Now that the DNC is gone, leisure and hospitality jobless should rise, but on a good note, shopping season adds tons of low pay, no benefits, part-time retail jobs. So, I'm betting this will bump us up to an amazing 9.7% rate at the end of Jan. Thank God Almighty we are moving forward as I would hate to imagine going in reverse.

Seasonal adjustments was figure in the Unemployment figures. The rate still above national average.
