To their credit, Charlotteans generally are much more zealous about boosterism for their city than Raleigh residents. You can see that on urbanism forums that have many Charlotteans singing how Charlotte is a world class city, growing so fast, has an incredible skyline, is vying for the Olympics. Charlotte likes to envision itself as the next DC, Atlanta. In contrast, on the Raleigh forum, there are fewer posts, and the postings reflect a more modest, suburban, small city, laid back, and pedestrian.

It's official! Charlotte Ranks Higher*!!!

*On the "D-bag" list according to: The Top U.S. Cities for D-bags | Estately

Note: Austin d-baggery is slighlty less than Charlotte but still higher than Raleigh.

FWIW - This poll is about as valid as the city-data poll as it goes...

As for the Triangle's Forum, it's the most active metro forum in all of C-D and people who use it don't typically care about the other ones no less this particular thread.

But you post just as much as the "charlotte boosters" in this thread....

not that that means anything.

I admit to comparing the city but it's not because I want to put others down, because I like cities and I'm interested in their growths and stuff

I take solace in that Greensboro ranks higher than Charlotte.

Here is an article from the Charlotte Business Journal that really highlights something that the Triangle and Charlotte have in common. It has a link for an article in the Atlamtic by Richard Florida.
