Maybe you're right. Given the fact that the Triangle is ranked higher in most areas. Maybe you should take notice.

As far as 100 Plaza goes. It's a nice size project. Clearly not "cookie cutter". Along with the other projects UC or starting in the next month a nice addition to the North Hills(Midtown) area. Those projects include Tower II,AC Hotel, the Cardinal,120 Dartmouth, and the aforementioned 100 Plaza. That's 2035 units in less than a half mile radius. As a fan of "density" I would think you would approve. Not to mention ALL the retail and office space coming along with it. Almost forgot about Tower III coming soon.

By the way I would bet real money that 120 Dartmouth and 100 Plaza get built before the Mint apartments. The seems to be one you were impressed with. Oh and the AC Hotel too. Make it 3 to 1.

Do us all a favor. Stop trying to be a smart ***. You're not good at it AT ALL. Stick to posting skyline pics. You're better at that son.

Lol, nowhere In NC comes close IMO to the soccer moms of Huntersville:Cornelius/Davidson. I do love it lol. Extremely affluent and I love the design standards. I don't think developments can have outward facing parking?

The Mint apartments have been under construction for nearly a year... I think you mean the 40 floor apartment tower on top of the mint museum by Childress Klien.

And since you ask they actually just got their plans submitted which means within a couple months it'll be going vertical. I didn't mention that yesterday because I'd assume you'd say "we already know, nothing new?"

Bearden (30+ floors) and The 40 floor one will under construction by summer.

I don't really care about the Plaza project because it's a dime a dozen. Literally. There are like nearly 40 in the center city. Plaza, NoDa, Uptown, Midtown Elizabeth & SouthEnd have these things like weeds. And drive 5 miles to SouthPark and they have these projects to.

But, yes I am excited about Bearden & CK above Mint. And I am so extremely positive both get built. I'm more skeptical of the office tower 300 South Tryon and it's already under construction (Pre-recession they were moving dirt, fenced off, then stalled. Obviously now is different).

Then add a couple more office towers will start in the summer. We have extremely low vacancy rates. So much it's costing us relocations.

I missed these 40 high rises on my last visit. They must have been hiding

40 like 100 Plaza? Not cookie cutter apartments. I'm sorry but you'll have to back that

40 15 story apartment buildings with at least 285 units and 35,000 feet of ground floor retail?

Its nice that Raleigh is getting its first 40 stories tower. Charlotte got its first 40 stories tower in 1974.

Sounds pretty cookie cutter to me. Especially being at the mall, lol. I mean, SouthPark has Some midrise buildings and some with a lot of retail. Most of the taller buildings are office though.

In fact, reading the TBJ, No firm plans are finalized, it's a sketch rendering & they're still seeking capital partners for the project. Not saying it won't get done, he could even go bigger, but it seems like Childress Klien is way ahead of the curve as of right now. And I mention that because you brought it up.

Kane Realty Corp.'s plans for a high-rise apartment building in Raleigh's North Hills - Triangle Business Journal

Looks like the same scope as Metropolitan, but Metropolitan is in Center City.

But yes, I think it's very cookie cutter, and it's at a mall. Im never thrilled over large scale developments (neither of which CLT orcRDU have) at malls.

^ Hope that NEVER happens here.
Still waiting for those 40

What 30story. With retail. Didn't see a pic or an announcement

South Park is like Crabtree more than North Hills. Unless South Park has over 2000 residential units.

What you think is worth about .0000000001% of a penny. All the people who invest millions may have another opinion. Not to mention the people who live, work, and play in these areas. Also paying big bucks to do so.

Nice pic of Atlanta. North Hills(midtown) will probably look very close to that in the next 10 years. Without the traffic I hope.

All this from the urban lover and expert who lives in Huntersville N.C.. A urban Mecca I'm sure.

SouthPark has well over 2,000 residential units. The mall is the center of many developments around it and is the second largest business district in Charlotte with over 40,000 employees. Not sure how many people live there but Barclay Downs (South Park hood)has over 4,000

Southpark is located on what was a 3,000 acre farm owned by one family. SouthPark is the first master planned mixed-use development built in Charlotte.

Charlotte's 40 stories

Charlotte's 50 stories

Charlotte 60 stories

At the present Raleigh does not have a 40 stories

So what is the big deal if Raleigh builds a 40 story building. We have 3 in Charlotte already.
I think you went down the wrong road. The question was 40 buildings like 100 Plaza. Not how many 40 story buildings there are.
