No decision has been made on transit,at this point.

Wake Co is behind in public transportation true. Still playing catch up. We got behind focusing on other things. Most importantly Wake Co Schools. Considering the grades the State gave Mecklenburg last week. Well you know

Would it be fair to add Cabarrus County & Gaston County Transportation systems?

TTA is for the Triangle and the Wolf Line is NC State. CAT's schedule has 2 routes of 15 minutes and the rest for 30 minutes to 1 hour and many with no week end service. I would hate to think I lived in Raleigh and only means to get around on CAT system. There some routes with no week end service. Raleigh need to do better for its citizens.

Chapel Hill has the second largest city bus system in NC.

If you would go back and look at the transit meeting in December of 2014 the speaker said if your schedule is 30 minutes to 1 hour, you are not going to get many riders.

UNCC does not need a bus line because CATS supplies 2 lines to UNCC. CATS also has bus server to other cities in the metro including the South Carolina cities in the metro.
Routes & Schedules

Compare the schedules and tell which one could you depend on to get around the city.

Check your facts pleeeeeeease. TTA dose cover the Triangle. But there are specific routes that cover ONLY Raleigh/Wake. Raleigh to RDU,Zebulon, and Wake Forest for example according to its website/schedule. The Wolf Line is primarily for State, but it covers more than just NC State. Areas such as Cameron Village for example.

Not saying the transit system is great, even good. But let's have all the FACTS please. Everyone can make their on judgment. Without your finger on the scale.

By the way I would hate to have to drive around in Charlotte. With that traffic and that road system. No thanks.

In Huntersville we have Gateway station that services routes 97,98,99, 48X & 77X. 97,98,99 all service the Lake Norman areas & Northlake Charlotte, 77X services Lake Norman areas to uptown and 48X serves Huntersville to uptown. Both 77 & 48x have very frequent service having like 15 minute head ways each for hours to uptown and between the 2 serving gateway Huntersville, you get a very frequent service to uptown. The intra lake Norman routes have 15 minute headways nearly the entire day I believes and runs on weekends.

The other day I was eating at Chili's in Huntersville and I saw 77X & 48X outbound directly behind one another passing an inbound 77X, 48x & 97.

We have very impressive schedules for a suburb here and I'd say LKN in general is fairly receptive of taking Express buses uptown for work
