TTA at Moore Square,go figure. Also C tran connects DT Raleigh. DATA also has stops in Raleigh. All the systems of Raleigh work together to cover the entire Triangle.

Yes the Raleigh system needs improvement, and soon will be. But just showing a Cat schedule alone. Doesn't tell the entire story.

By the way, plenty of people get around on Cat everyday.

Also there isn't a competition between Raleigh and Durham. Durham getting light rail is positive for the entire Triangle. Whenever it's done any Triangle resident who want to live along the rail line can move,if they like. And go figure not even change jobs or anything. The NCCU proposed stop is 15 mins away from me. Not really a big deal obviously. But there will probably be at least a commuter line coming out of Raleigh by then. But we will see.
Charlotte CATS Transit system is bigger than all the Triangle Transit systems put together. So what is your point.

Just posting the Cat schedule doesn't give a full picture of Raleigh's transit options. That's the point!

Bigger than Cat,DATA,Chapel Hill Transit,TTA,C Tran, and Wolf Line. I don't know, maybe your right. But I would love to see some HONEST numbers on that.

For ex. A city to be good for business much have an airport with good international flights. A good rail & highway system, international banks, and etc. We are in a global economy. Why are so many foreign companies in the Charlotte Metro is because of it airport. Why do we see Lufthansa Airlines fly into Charlotte every day is because there more Germany companies (191) are in the Charlotte Metro than any other county.

Why is about 20,000 people moving to Charlotte every year the most of any city in North Carolina. Charlotte is not on top of the list of best of cities in most of these spins.

I do not put must faith in the best cities sites. I can spine anything about a city to make it look good or bad. These sites have magazines to sell. I want hard facts from the business community and not from a report in New York putting out spins to keep his or her job.
Business Insider.com VS Forbes? That speaks for itself.

All this comes across as a bunch of whiny complaining. Maybe Charlotte isn't what you think it is. Have you considered that possibility. Maybe all the big numbers you all post about,on a daily basis, don't really mean much. Or at least as much as most of you think they do. By the way the road system there isn't very good IMO.

Most of the lists are based on things that most people value. Job growth, unemployment, crime, public schools, income, college educated population, parks and museums. Areas Charlotte could improve in.

As for selling magazines. How is pumping Raleigh up going to help sell magazines. Any more than, let's say pumping Charlotte up? That doesn't make any sense at all. Charlotte lags the Triangle in many key areas, that real people value. Period

Skylines, light rail, downtown arenas, and the fact that most people work Uptown don't mean much in the real world. Sorry

Charlotte & Raleigh has pass in population of many old cities in the US. It is hard for people outside of North Carolina to believe that Raleigh has more people in its city limits than Miami Fla. or Charlotte has more people in its city limits than Denver, Colorado. But people alone does not make Charlotte or Raleigh better than these cities.

Your list didn't include Wolfline,TTA,or C Tran.

Add in Wolf Lines 5,110,000
TTA 1,578,598
C Tran 301,860+ 50,000 door to door.

I come up with 25,889,398 total.

25,329,765-25,889,398= 440,3671,206 less riders a day that's a lot closer than I'm sure anyone thought it would be. Even closer than I thought. Looks like somehow people manage to get around on public trans in the Triangle. Amazing.

I was just comparing how Charlotte & Raleigh population have grown larger but we can still fall short of what some of the old cities we have pass in population. Most of these cities have better transportation systems than we do. Our inter-structure has not keep up with our population growth. That is what I am getting . We are growing faster than we can built our transportation systems and other need utilities.

Ridership for CATS Buses in 2013 was 26,699,311 from CATS 2014 report. Lynx 4,977,800 for total of 31,677,111.

You want to compare airports?
