NBA Memphis: CSA 1.3 million
NFL Jacksonville: CSA 1.5 million

What do those two cities have in common? No major collegiate sports.

None of those teams are in Charlotte, that's the only reason they have NFL and NBA.

500,000 we've covered that ad nauseam, now you're just chasing your tail
Your "real" airport is sorely lacking compared to major city airports... lack Charlotte.
Your "real" pro sports team is nice, but is in the weakest of the big four sports while Charlotte has not one but two... both of which are far more valuable and have more appeal than the NHL.

And it isn't that Raleigh doesn't need an NFL team as much as the NFL doesn't need Raleigh. The biggest sports league in North America (or is it the world?) has never expressed any interest in Raleigh while they already have set up shop in Charlotte.

LOL at you acting lie Raleigh is something significant when you have to combine it with neighboring areas and still wind up about 2 Birmingham Alabama's short of matching Charlotte.

In terms of importance:
1) Charlotte
2) Raleigh

Everyone knows it and everything backs it up. And according to the United Nations (because that matters to you), Charlotte is growing faster than Raleigh.

Neither of these cities are home to two major pro sports teams like Charlotte. And collegiate sports are second rate to pro sports. What's next... are you going to boast about high school football in west Texas because they don't have a college team like Austin?

You love posting arbitrary lists so here's one for you.

Raleigh didn't quite make the top 100. Charlotte of course did, and is ahead of Raleigh in both subcategories.

I can smell the desperation in your posts. i love it , keep em coming!

Raleigh/Triangle
Profressional sports championships - 1
Collegiate sports championships - 12

Charlotte/Metrolina:
Profressional sports championships - 0
Collegiate sports championships - 0

One and only one metro is responsible for North Carolina's rich sports tradition. And it's not Metroloser.

PS: Charlotte is just Jacksonville with the river and less culture, lol !

1) Raleigh
2) Charlotte

Start a poll and ask which city is better for sports... Raleigh or Charlotte and let's just see the results. I'm quite sure people prefer the NFL and NBA over the NC State wolfpack.

Over 73,000 people on average attended the Panthers home games this past season. Not only was this top 10 for NFL franchises, it is far, far, FAR more than any Raleigh area sporting event. How many people turn out for Duke or Carolina football games? basketball games? That's what I thought.

What else are you going to do in Metroloser, go to a Megachurch? lol !

Question: Can you name the location city of the only NC pro sports team that has ever won a nation title?
