Just so we're clear, these questions are all pertaining to living in a county that does not do emissions testing.

When you have a safety inspection done, do they check airbags? I found a post from about 5 years ago that said no but I want to make sure the law hasn't changed. I have an aftermarket steering wheel in my car & it doesn't have an airbag so I was wondering if I'd fail inspection. Also, what's the deal with emissions control equipment? I know a safety inspection doesn't include emissions testing but do they check to make sure it's all there?

Thank you,
Frankie

Emission components equipped on the vehicle must be in place and working

I've never had an inspector look at my seatbelts....ever. Is that a county by county thing?

Because most people won't take them out or mess with them otherwise.

So if I have my aftermarket non-airbag steering wheel I'll pass inspection?

Unless the rules have change the steering wheel should not be an issue. Airbags are considered supplemental restraint.
What year is the vehicle?
