Let 'em all pack it up and bring 'em on to Nirvana. The locals love taking their money.

Luckily you are retired and have already made your money in Real Estate. You can't make any money if you don't want anyone to come and buy houses. I'm sure you weren't saying these things when you depending on your Real Estate business

Did you find Nirvana in NC? You are still there, it must be really nice. It won't be Nirvana for me. I can tell you that right now. You know why? I'll tell you a secret, Nirvana does not exist. It's what you make of it. Everyone is different. Have you been on the NY forum? Many people love NY and think they have found Nirvana. I would rather die than live there. Have you been on the AZ forum? Many people hate it there, I mean MANY MANY. I happen to like it. So to sum up the whole discussion, many will come and many will leave. Live and let live, we are free to move about the country. If I hate it I'll leave too. My husband will stay but that's ok, I know people who have long distant relationships

I have been "glued" to this forum for days--we are seriously considering a move in 2-3 years to NC, specifically the Winston-Salem area. I appreciate the people who live, or have lived in NC, taking their time to respond to sooo many questions. Have found many answers, ideas, urls, etc. on this forum.

Winston is great! Has culture and great schools, good shopping, food, a medical center / school and Wake Forest "Demon Deacons" basketball!! ;-)
