Again, GLAD to see the General Assembly thinks the economy is in tip-tip shape, to be more concerned over these relative petty social items.

It is almost.....refreshing to see them going after heterosexual couples for once.

Those two measures might actually reduce the divorce rate.
I'd rep this multiple times if I could!

Since they are so interested in the sanctity of marriage, why not just let them ban divorce altogether? We can just have stonings and other honorable ways to end a marriage if needed. Sheesh! Is anyone out there cataloging all the ridiculous bills being submitted? They could make a nice horror story.

I'm sure the local Democratic party is.

The only sure way to reduce the number of divorces is to reduce the number of married.
Ideally that will reduce the rate of divorce as well.

Similarly... don't allow something as stupid as an unplanned pregnancy by a pair of woefully
unprepared kids be the basis to suggest that they should get married. Don't allow (let alone
encourage) marriage and parenthood by people unable to provide even for themselves

Do something constructive about the woefully unprepared and unplanned for conceptions.
I agree. It should be harder to get married and easier to get divorced.
