This would seem to contradict the republican argument we need to make tax concessions for the wealthy to attract businesses.

Yes, and this also (IMO) contradicts the Republican accusations that Bev Purdue somehow didn't adequately support business. I'm no Bev cheerleader, but she did do some good things to support the business climate even in the midst of a very bad recession. NC's woes were due to the national (and international) economic conditions, not any specific action or lack of action on her part. I always bristled at McCrory's ads where he painted himself as the savior of the state's economy. If dealt the same economic conditions that Bev had to face, he would have done no better.

He trashed her weekly on WCNC's public affairs show. It was disgusting. There are standards for public affairs shows & that show didn't meet them because of what they allowed him to do.

I know one thing, where I live we were consistently getting new businesses in. Not much is coming in now. So much for the Republicans' magic touch. on jobs.

So true! Pat McCrory is the best politician in the business, and that is not a good praise of him!

They like to get on a soapbox about JOBS, JOBS, JOBS, but once they get in there, it's anything but that Jobs platform they were campaigning about! Boy were we fooled!

They fooled me in 2010, but not 2012. Keep in mind, based on their shenanigans in Raleigh, they really did mean jobs, jobs, job - for lawyers.

I think his and his supporters goal is to profit off the state as much as possible before the ***'s up.

People fail to realize a political leader; be it mayor, governor, or president can want in one hand and sh*t in the other when it comes to jobs. They can't create jobs, contrary to what they will have you to believe.
