I remember when I was about to go to Texas for the first time headed to college. People would tell me that Houston was hot... it's some serious heat down there. I just smirked.... I'm from NC.. I know about heat.

Arrived in Houston in August... and I was like, this is a different kind of heat My goodness that heat... that humidity First day of class... temp was like 104 degrees..... still some temps near 90 around Halloween... in the mid 80s around Thanksgiving. Seemed like it was the same daily forecast for August and September... High 94.. Low 73... with a chance for rain. Yeah it gets hot in NC... but only stretches where its brutal heat. Houston is like that for months.. and I imagine Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio are even worst when it comes to heat... though maybe not as bad when it comes to the humidity.

Actually that is a quote from 2013. Although we might have had a bunch of days over 90 this summer... it really hasnt been that bad in my opinion.

BTW, it looks like many of us will experience lows in the 40s a week from now.
