Yup. Or one where if you're a challenger you can launch scary attack ads like "Representative Sunny Kayak voted AGAINST motor cycle safety. Why doesn't he care about motorcyclists?" Thus the double-edged sword of a rider.
I keep waiting for this "transparency in government" we keep being promised...as well as the "shrinking of government intrusion into people's lives". Two Republican mantras that they chant even as they hilariously (well sorta) do exactly the opposite, time after time.
Maybe. But I don't think he's that kind of guy. Plus, he's spending time talking down about the bill. If he vetoes he means it.
He's a politician, they are all "that kind of guy".
The point is, it doesn't matter whether he "means" it or not, he can't stop it by himself, so "keeping his promise" isn't going to win him any points unless he shows evidence of really trying hard to convince some legislators to change their minds.

Yes, no one knows what is going on. This is totally secretive. This is the best way they can get the bill to pass. Put it in with something that people value more than abortion rights. Sneaky. No one will ever notice because they are stupid and we'll never get a chance to talk about it.
