Okay, so aside form all the Money magazine articles I've read telling me that NC is THE place to move to and since I'm already just following the "herd", this puts me right over the edge. George Clooney in North Carolina??? I'm goin'!
(LOL)

I dunno, but Salisbury is a very nice, clean historical town.
Have you been there? Downtown is very nice.
The folks there really keep that town nice.....

From what I heard, he was there scouting locations for a movie he's doing or is going to do.

Whats his appeal exactly? I guess us people with low cultural enlightenment will just never learn.

George Clooney is okay. I can see the appeal and I do think he's a good actor, but he doesn't do "it" for me. Unlike a couple other actors.

he says he can't create the same backdrop in a hollywood set. Therfore he is scouting the country....
While I do not drool over Clooney it should be good for the local economy.

Not from me
Rude thing to say; I've read that he's a pretty affable guy; but I'm not the star struck-type either. With the exception of ... say .. the Brangelina team (I'd throw my hands up in horror if I heard they were coming to town ) filming done in the Salisbury area would be a good thing. He wants to do a period movie, Salisbury gets the promotion for having sites attractive to film makers. There are other economic boosts that area could use besides just people moving to the area
