I think it could become a competitive race. Ellmers only got 59% or so in a primary just recently. Her opponent sounded pretty sour on her in his concession speech, I don't think he'll be on the stump to help out.

Ellmers was a nurse - and nurses often become rather brusque over time as they develop a tough personality shell to shield themselves from so many of other people's problems. She does not have a good record of constituent service as far as I've read. Even GOP websites have posters grumbling about how she treats groups that have invited her to speak. She arrives late and leaves quickly before people can hobnob with her one-on-one.

LoL...that's what my daughter said...Reuben Studdard did it. Felt he owed Clay one.

But, it really isn't funny. It's all just surreal. Poor Clay, he will forever wonder what God was thinking on that day....
