Hello! I am looking to move to NC with my boyfriend and I was wondering what the pro's and/or cons were?
Maybe even places to avoid/best places, things to do, etc.!
Notes:
I'm a teacher so I will be looking for jobs in the elementary schools there.
Historical components, I could care less about!
My BF will be transferring to a Dollar Tree (he is a manager)
If he a manager of DT then he would know what small towns will have openings that he can transfer to, then you will be able to determine what district to apply at.
This state 53,819 sq miles when the district is determine then narrow down what good and bad.
A teacher that doesn't care about the history of the state she moving to, sad
To answer your question on Pros and Cons
Pro's this state is rich in history
Cons transplants to NC who don't care about the history or preserving it's beauty.

There over 1,329 elementary schools in this state see see above what I stated depends on husband transfer. As each district is different.
Then co-ordinate with the boyfriend about his potential locations. (DollarTrees are all over the state.) A few towns I would not recommend include Lumberton, Rocky Mount and Fayetteville because of higher crime rates.

Thanks!
Find a teaching job. The pay is low and the benefits suck
Sounds like your BF could transfer most anywhere you found a job.
ETA: you'll want to look for places where you can afford to live on a teaching salary and DT management wages, obviously.
