Being self reliant on all natural resources is key to our states economic recovery.

DRILL BABY, DRILL!

Yes - destroying our water, putting the health of the residents of NC is nothing compared to a couple of lousy jobs and more money in the pockets of state legislators.
Drill until NC is a wasteland.

This relationship with the energy companies and the NC state government is the same one played out when the police chief who writes the tickets also owns the local towing company. How one could not see the illusion of impropriety is beyond me. They can start removing the "Keep NC Clean & Green" signs any day. Perhaps Kay Hagan can do something....

This is another attack by liberals to suppress Capitalism in order to be dependent on foreign oil companies. We need to drill and become self reliant. Producing jobs in natural resource businesses is a good start for NC to recover from this economic disaster we live in. These false claims that its going to destroy our environment is utter nonsense.

The problem is that we don't know the full harm fracking can do to the environment. We can see some of the effects though - water rendered undrinkable (flammable even) due to chemicals leaching into groundwater. What chemicals you ask? Oh we can't say because the NC legislators (and their oil company buddies) don't want you to know.
Fracking may also make the ground unstable possibly producing earthquakes which could lead to ground destabilization. Earthquakes can produce landslides. But hey landslides never hurt anyone, right?
That's just a couple of things off the top of my head. I am sure that if I search I can come up with more.
We just don't know how much fracking can hurt us. Before we decide to become the fracking capital of the world maybe there should be a lot more disclosure and a bit more reflection.

You think the corrupt EPA led by the liberal mafia, is going to allow chemicals into our water supply?
This Chicken Little syndrome fabricated by the media is hilarious.

It might have something to do with the fact that when they frack they release radon, a radioactive gas that is stored in the deep rock they are breaking up. I am not sure if this is a problem for North Carolina, but it is certainly an issue in the northeast.

Hey if you think immune problems and cancer are a laughing matter then maybe you should move to one of the fracking locations. I am sure that there are some people just dying (literally) to sell.
