Ahh that hypothetical nonsense again. The case of American doesn't have anything to do with Art Pope & the state budget. American doesn't want to pay the Mecklenburg county sales tax.
Businesses collect taxes from their customers. It just makes the tickets more expensive. Whatever the State or the counties collected it would never be enough.
There's still plenty of waste in all levels of NC government.
Leave the tax as is, Maybe AA will leave some gates allowing other carriers in. Enlarging the market and creating lower prices because there will then be competition to fill those seats.

CLT isn't slot restricted like most major airports. In theory anyone can come in at any time. The attractiveness as a hub isn't the low amount of O&D traffic, it's the low costs. Something to keep in mind before raising costs. Every little bit helps/hurts!
They are a corporation. I'm not sure what point you are trying to make.
