I hestitate to respond to you again. But since most of your response to me was thoughtful, I will say this.

You don't vote for a BASE. You vote for a candidate. If what you say is true about yourself, then voting for the same idiot that already holds the seat and has done nothing about your concerns in 6 years, is the most illogical thing you can do.

I've said before there is no difference between American "conservatism" and "liberalism". It doesn't matter which party that you vote for. Unfortunately, there are many, as demonstrated here, who are perpetually fighting this battle and their only arguments is to ignore what their candidate has done and insult the other. i.e "voting for who will cause the least harm".

This is your only real chance to have a say in the matter so make it count.

In NC-8 Mr. Blue seems to have a better record then Mr. Hudson. It seems as a Mayor he was able to get things done for his city, the type of worker who will get things done for NC-8. Mr Hudson it seems has done well voting to end the ACA and shutting down the Govt. last year, being a follower of Mr. Cruz.

Unless it's YOUR base and YOUR candidate... right?

Then you're wrong yet again.

Interesting that you took the time to write a line by line rebuttal to what I posted, yet completely ignored this line.

Unfortunately, there are many, as demonstrated here, who are perpetually fighting this battle (left vs right) and their only arguments is to ignore what their candidate has done and insult the other.

LOL.

I believe everything he does excluding the snooping part and being gay, of course I'm also pretty big on marriage equality. I also believe in Infrastucture and investing I the economy.

And you really think people like me should vote Tillis so we don't vote party lines?

Tillis wants a stronger seperation of church and state?
Tillis is for Marriage equality?
Tillis will rally for less intervention in Foriegn matters than Hagan?

Etc etc.

yeah, I think I'll vote for Hagan. I was a Republican, I am a registered independent but I'm going to switch to registered democrat. These past 2 years, I've decided I align much more with democrats. Mostly due to how extreme the far right has become (Tea Party). After the tea party, I'm sick of the Pubs. I do like Romney & McCain & now Glenn Beck much more than the Huckabees, Cruz, and Sean hannitys of the party

I haven't told you who to vote for including Tillis. I have said that I won't vote for Hagan again because she failed to do anything she claimed that she would do.

As for your 3 points, Hagan has ignored them just as well. If you think otherwise, what specific actions has she taken to correct the situation to your satisfaction? Otherwise you are just falling for and reciting false party dogma.

There are 3 write-in candidates qualified for the senate race. (Their votes will be tallied, unlike the truly wasted votes each year for Jesus and Mickey Mouse which simply get lumped into "other".) If you really dislike both major party candidates, click the "write-in" button and type in one of them. And there's a Libertarian, although he has almost no money to campaign.

I'll probably do one of those options as a protest vote.

Nope. Didn't ignore it.
I gave it every bit of the attention that it warranted.

But since it seems so dear to you... then address the corollary to it:
The deliberate actions to hinder those goals.

Simple, I'm not voting to send the same candidate back to Congress that I voted for last time.

It boggles the mind that people cannot grasp this simple concept. Even educated people will vote down party lines, then act shocked when they realize one party is in bed with the other. Or worse, they excuse the atrocities of their own party whenever it is in power. Kind of like how all the anti-war Democrats disappeared in 2009.
SOMEONE is going to be elected, whether you cast a vote or not. Might as well hold your nose and vote for the one you find least offensive. I admire your conviction, but it's not as if anybody is going to say "Wow, XX number of people voted blank--I guess we'll change our policies!" I'd be surprised if there is anyone who EVER agrees with any candidate on 100% of the issues, yet people vote.
