Yes indeed and if you grew up in NC during the 70s (just before Raleigh and Charlotte decided to become northeastern relocation outpost) and watched ACC basketball, this commercial should stick with you forever. And nothing says NC more than 1970s ACC basketball, sort of gave the state a brand and national identity other than tobacco. Before Raleigh and Charlotte thought about the "big" time, the Triad was NC "big" time with home of ACC basketball (Greensboro), RJ Reynolds (WS) and the Furniture Market (High Point).

I don't even need to play the video to sing the song. I watched a LOT of ACC bball in the 70s and 80s. Anyone remember "N-C-N-B; We wanna be, the best bank in the neighborhood"?

My vote goes for Winston or G-boro, too. Both good, solid NC cities.

I remember that song! And just look how they turned out !

I saw my first Duke basketball game at the Coliseum when I was 12 in the 60s. I was hooked! I saw David Thompson et. al. win the NCAA championship. I wore glitter red platforms. Good times.
