I'm hoping someone can answer this question for me. I have a friend and her in-law's are thinking of relocating to NC and possibly the Triangle area. They were living in SC for the last 6 months and they are currently living in their RV motor home. The RV is pretty much brand new, real nice. They are thinking of purchasing some land in NC and park their RV on the land until they figure out their next move. In SC, this is illegal to do. My question is...would this be allowed in NC? They just don't want to end of in a campground type situation. Any suggestions?

They'd need to look at the restrictions on the land. If it's in a rural setting, probably would be able to do just that. In a city, I'd tend to think not.

Sorry, I know that's not much help!

Why not stay in a Campground for a sort period of time until they determine what they want to do and where to live. Most of them are nice.
That way they don't have a lot of money tied up in a plot of land and then having to sell it.
