Before filing taxes, how find what the state wants for "F-502 Agreement Amount," for form RO-1033 (https://www.city-data.com/forum/north...l#post38947688), to let them steal more money than I even have? I am using TurboTax Online, but those reps not answering my online questions and calling them as been just as futile.

Does anyone know?

Thank you.

It is not stealing if you owe it to them.

How many times have you tried to call? I have never had any trouble getting through to them when I have called.

I believe you can put whatever number you want on the form (the amount you are comfortable paying each month), as it is an installment REQUEST. They can come back and ask for something different if they are not satisfied with your request. You may have to show them financial records to substantiate such low payments if you only do $25/month.

It is stealing. They have no right to be taking money from me I do not have. I do not wish to get into a debate on facts about it at this time.

I need to know where on the form to find the info they want, before I file taxes. That is my question.

As stated, calling has been futile for me.

Thank you.

If you've been calling last Friday, Saturday or Sunday - state and county offices closed for the holidays. Try Tuesday, after the Monday rush.

And you need to review your withholdings or estimated payments. You earned the money as income; therefore, you owe the taxes on it. No stealing involved here.

Don't like it? Move to a state that has no state income tax (Nevada, Florida, Texas, etc). They'll get their money from you in other ways, but that's another discussion.

Incorrect you are.
If you can not give me the answer I am asking, please do not reply and think you can change how the government is cruel to us poor people.

If you owe it they sure do.

The installment plan form/issues are apart from the tax return.
If the included that option on the form every jasper in the state would try it.

It looks like volunteering for in advance...
well, maybe just stapling that to the return when you send it in (vs the full amount check).

No, they have no right! Why do you people keep thinking like this?

Just answer the question or not post at all. Why harass me??

The NC General Statutes say they do. The IRS has a good guide for those that wish to debate it.

Some info on the topic is here - Guide to Resolving North Carolina Back Taxes & Other Tax Problems

The complete line on the form is
Enter total account balance for all periods (F-502 Agreement Amount)
My guess is that the total amount of tax you owe.

You're getting unnecessarily testy with the other posters.

You've been given suggestions.

None of us have the authority to excuse you from your tax obligations.

We all have to pay income taxes. If the state or federal government decides we are needy enough to refund that money back to us, we get it back.

The state of NC seems to have concluded that you are not needy enough to avoid paying your taxes, so it sounds like you'll need to follow some of the advice you've been given here regarding methods to contact the NCDOR and arrange to pay your taxes.
