Hi everyone, I have been charged with hosting a party/shower for a friend. It will be held in Rocky Mount because she is from there, along with most of the family. It is a surprise, so I cannot ask her for suggestions, plus, she hadn't lived in Rocky Mount for a while. I am seeking recommendations for a nice, upscale restaurant, Hotel meeting room, or banquet hall that can handle 50-60 people. If food is not available, then we'll have to find a caterer. I know the Doubletree near the hospital has banquet space (wife's high school reunion was previously held there.)
The Shrine club rents out their space (had our rehearsal dinner there).
Not many 'nice' restaurants in Rocky Mount. I know a new one opened ~1 year ago but the name is escaping me now.
I love the restaurant On The Square in Tarboro but I am not sure it meets the qualifications you mention.
