An odd thread, but I've always been curious to hear other opinions. Where would you place Harnett County? Any thoughts?
I'd place it in the Sandhills. That's mostly because my husband's family originated between Sanford and Lillington. They have more historic connections with Southern Pines, Pinehurst and Fayetteville than they do with the Triangle.
I love threads like these, exploring geography, history of a county or city.
I love looking the information about the area like the city that diesnt exist any more in Harnett called Averasboro .
Cool city and unique city like Coats.
It is in Sandills and has events relating to the geography.
I enjoyed watching the video about the Farm Equipment show, but I was curious about why there was nothing about tobacco farming. My husband is full of stories about riding a tobacco planter, topping the plants, harvesting the leaves, etc.
