I'm interested in BB&T Bank specifically for mortgages. Anyone have dealings with them in the mortgage banking arena?

I have banked with them since 1983 with no complaints
They have a great network of branches and staff.

Current mortgage with them - I think they are great! I've had nothing but good service from them, unlike one of the other big banks in town  |

I have no complaints with them as a bank but I don't have a mortgage through them. They have been very nice to me and seem to have not nearly the fees that some other banks have. I do have some family members that have a mortgage through them and they spoke very highly of the customer service also. They also said that it was nice with their due dates to wait until the 15th of every month to pay the balance without a late fee. I don't know if that's common but they seemed pleased with that point.

I've been a BB&T customer since 1980, both in Northeastern NC and here in Southeastern NC. Over the years, I've used them for auto loans, credit cards, home equity line of credit, savings and checking accounts, and investment services. There has never been a problem other than those that will occasionally arise out of human error, and I have been very pleased at how BB&T handled such things.
Frankly, it would be hard to find a banking institution in this area that offers better - or friendlier - service.
