Both areas rank very high nationally, so your best bet is apply in both cities and see where that takes you (Charlotte does have light rail, trolley, and buses). It might be good to spend at least a weekend in each city and see which one best suites you. I would never want to move anywhere until I gave it a good look first. Good luck!
