I have had a residence in nc for over a year and went to the DMV to gt a license today and answered their question honestly. Is there a fine associated with this? Has anyone else had this?

I don't think your post really makes any sense, which might be why nobody has answered it. What is it that you are asking whether anybody has experienced?

Law requires new residents to get a drivers license within a certain amount of time of moving to NC. Sounds like the OP waited a year. My guess is no one at DMV will bat an eye.
