Good for Ringo.
He was in the Beatles, after all, and therefore you can only Imagine...

You may say he's a dreamer
But he's not the only one
We hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one.

Who cares what this fossil thinks? Though it's interesting that he doesn't have to do his job because something conflicts with his beliefs.

Memo: Ringo, you silly little man. Stick it. And stop trying to be relevant.

Ringo Starr has canceled his June concert in Cary because of the passing of House Bill 2.
The concert was scheduled for June 18 at the Koka Booth Amphitheater.

At least Jimmy Buffet has class, voice his opinion without disappointing his concert goers
When it comes to money for some people enough is never enough regardless of the situation.

You will be a "Fossil" one of these days. Man, the character of the NC-GOP shines brightly in this forum lately.

First Bruce now Ringo. Geriatric rock stars really hate us! It's so lame how they think they are making a statement, Bryan Adams won't play Mississippi but was in Egypt recently. It's so obvious they are trying to ride the PR gravy train.

As someone wisely said to me after I made a similarly foolish remark, if you get lucky, you, too, will get old some day. . .

Bruce Springsteen use to.

Far as singers performing with tougher no tolerance period anti-gay laws, both pro-gay singers Lady GaGa and Madonna performed in Russia.

At least Jimmy Buffet music is still relevant and able to sell tickets in comparison to Ringo.
In the 1980s, Bob Dylan ditched an appearance at a multi-day festival in Germany when he was given the OK to perform in East Berlin. I don't think he cared much for their politics.
