I am a AA mom of 4 sons and I am looking to relocate from GA to NC next year. My oldest will be starting high school and my 2 oldest will be starting middle school. I have experience in transportation such as route driver, school/shuttle bus, and also delivery driving. I want to know what is a good area for me to move to that is affordable, has a great school system, and have things to do for kids as well as adults. I am looking to secure a driving position before moving there and I can afford up to $1100 a month for rent until i decide to purchase a house.

The most affordable urban area of the state is the Triad, including Greensboro. You might also like the Charlotte area, but not sure how your rent budget would work.
What areas of NC do you know about, that have made you choose this state? I.e., when you think "I want to move to NC because ____", what is your "because" and I presume it is based on your knowledge of some area that appealed to you?
Probably the Raleigh and Charlotte areas are the most expensive, but otherwise, you don't give much to go on regarding what you're looking for (urban/rural, mountainss/beach, etc). It's a big and diverse state.
B. If you still want to come, stay away from Raleigh, Charlotte, etc,. You need a smaller area since it sounds like you're a single mother and you're not making 6 figures or the high 5 figures. Go to someplace like Louisburg, Oxford, Greenville, smaller towns where you can live decently for a low amount of money.
Also, the child support system in the entire state is not friendly to parents. This state believes in giving the paying parent every break conceivable before they take any action or lock them up. Tye take due process to heart here and most of the judges are still old school and male.
There are a lot of jobs like you're speaking of in the Charlotte area. Eastern Gaston County and York County are nice, affordable areas with good schools and good commutes to Charlotte. The Greensboro/Winston Salem area comes to mind too.
Someone mentioned the Triad--I just read a post on Facebook from someone saying Winston-Salem is really looking for school bus drivers, so another vote for there. But you should post on the Triad forum with specific questions about Winston-Salem.
