Nah, Charlotte gained alot of credibility while the the state lost. When you look back at history Charlotte will be known for taking a stand and McCrory will be known as an ignorant Governor.
Ironically, Charlotte gave us both sides of this equation.
Personally, I don't have a big problem with the idea of voter ID as long as it is made easy enough to get an ID. I try to see the other side, but honestly, I have a hard time buying that many people don't have an ID this day and age. Though I would even go so far as to say if you were registered before some certain date that you're exempt. But, refusing out of state ID is preposterous. If it's good enough to fly and buy liquor, it's good enough to vote with. Now, on a lighter note, why can't they take the need to state your name and address out when the poll worker has your darn ID with that info and your photo in their hand?
Moreover if the point of being hard a$$ about Voter ID is to prevent fraud it's a solution looking for a problem. Voter fraud simply doesn't happen that often. Counting errors, restrictive poll locations, funky ballots both from the machine side as well as 'creative' ballot layouts probably account for more unintended votes cast than all out and out fraud combined. It's just the easiest way for lazy politicians to put their thumb on the scale.
So now Gov. McCrory remains defending HB2 to the point that he's decrying Coach K and other leaders for supporting "total PC BS." Oh, I'm so proud to have him as our governor
McCrory is saying (dog whistling) that the liberal media is misrepresenting HB2. How in fact is excluding all LGBT residents and visitors in NC from discrimination protections and then preventing local communities from extending local protections of their own being misrepresented? Could a law be any more oppressive to a targeted group?
Oh, I know....The media has actually been almost exclusively focused on the "bathroom" part of the law while mostly ignoring the deeper levels of discrimination to the entire LGBT community. So, McCrory, you're right; the media has distorted the law. They haven't actually been consistently reporting how much more horrible it is for an entire group of people than just the bathroom part.
Yawn! You're falling for the NBA's PR move. Wake me when people of all genders are on the court for the All Star game. Until then the NBA is no better than North Carolina's stance on this.
Wow....... You should go to Rio with those excellent mental gymnastic skills

LOL, the WNBA is part of All-Star Weekend as well.
Actually, it takes a lot of spine to sue the US Dept of Justice...
Not when you're spending someone else's money and resources to do so.
