Yep. He got elected mostly by people thinking that he would remain moderate in Raleigh and reign in the General Assembly. Seems like they reigned him in instead. I don't think the next Republican claiming to be moderate will be winning a gubernatorial election again for quite some time after McCrory leaves.

This McCrory is an absolute disgrace. Anyone who still votes for him after all this CANNOT claim themselves a true North Carolinian.

Regarding voting laws: I attend UNCW as an out-of-state student from New Jersey. However, I registered to vote in North Carolina in March, having never previously registered anywhere. Will I be able to vote for Cooper, or...?

Who spends $500,000 of the disaster relief fund to fight a personal battle? McCrory did.

LOL, you obviously know nothing about All-Star Weekend outside the actual game. In recent years, the WNBA has been included in a couple of different events but even so, I fail to see the relevance of the point you're making.

Yep, that is exactly what I hoped for as well when I voted for him. That and a more urban view to help stem the tide against the rural counties killing us or taking money. What a disappointment.

Mike Krzyzewski, North Carolina coaches condemn 'embarrassing' HB2 bill

The basketball coaches at Elon, Duke, UNC, and State have all spoken out against the bill.

What is with you and LOL all the time? The point is, you're trying to be "hip" by being against HB2 but you're still cool with discrimination when it comes to equal pay for equal work. When the NBA gets serious and decides to integrate the women's and men's team I'll take them seriously.

Maybe he didn't have a spine in Charlotte? Maybe he didn't need one? Maybe he never had one? Leading a city is a different animal than leading a state that's gerrymandered to the hilt to maximize the hinterlands' representation. He's facing a different set of cultural, economic and social challenges brought to him by primarily his party and that puts him in a no win situation.
