Freedom Towne Center is a retail center locating at the site of the former Leisure Living Estates mobile home community at the southeast corner of Skibo Road and Cliffside Road in the city of Fayetteville in Cumberland County, North Carolina. Dick's Sporting Goods, Field & Stream, Hobby Lobby, are HomeGoods are four confirmed anchors. Freedom Towne Center is projected to open in the summer of 2017.
I was hoping another supermarket would locate in the Skibo Road trade area. Grocery options are currently supermarket Food Lion #1612, Fayetteville Pavilion, 2071 Skibo Road, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28314-2207; hypermarket Walmart Supercenter #1238, 1550 Skibo Road, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28303-3478; and wholesale club Sam's Club #8218, 1450 Skibo Road, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28303-3411.
Yes, there are Dick's Sporting Goods #198, Fayetteville Pavilion, 1450 Skibo Road, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28303-3411, and Hobby Lobby, Cross Creek Plaza, 1748-B Skibo Road, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28303-3253. Both stores are being replaced by new stores at Freedom Towne Center.
Section III of Freedom Town Center will have specialty organic grocer Sprouts Farmers Market, Burke's Outlet, Petco, Designer Shoe Warehouse, Buy Buy Baby, Word Market, Five Below, and Carter's/Oshkosh.
I'm excited for the Sprouts. Traffic is going to be a concern, but I'm curious to see if traffic will dip in other nearby shopping areas once this place opens
Sprouts Farmers Market will launch the specialty organic grocer segment in Fayetteville. Could Earth Fare and Whole Foods Market follow?
Fresh Market is the closest thing that Fay will get to a Whole Foods or Earth Fare. Our median income isn't high enough for those other specialty grocers. IIRC, Sprouts is a (relatively) low cost grocer
The Fresh Market is a specialty gourmet grocer. It is nowhere close to being a specialty organic grocer like Whole Foods, Earth Fare, and Sprouts Farmers Market.
