Do the Democrats actually think that NC will allow someone like this to represent them and become a Senator? I, for one will not vote for someone like this who as a attorney tried to get someone off with a lighter sentence when he physically assaulted and raped a woman in her own house. I don't think she will be elected at all.

First, the Washington Free Beacon is a junk publication, and I put no credence in anything they publish. Second, a lawyers job is to defend their clients to the best of their ability, so acting all indignant about that happening is silly. Third, the race looks very close, so predicting her loss may not be accurate. In any event, Burr is a brain dead twit who has no place in the US Senate.

I have put a self imposed two term limit on all elected officials. If it's good enough for the Presidency, it's good enough for all. Serving in an elected capacity was never meant to be a retirement plan. We have allowed the very people we elect to make laws to benefit themselves. (foxes and hen houses come to mind)

So regardless of how well a person serves I say thanks, but you've had your two terms. Time to vote for the other guy. Burr fits that category.

Burr doesn't seem to have produced any legislation of note. He's a go-along-to-get-along, forgettable Republican senator who only seems to exist to be re-elected! Time for a change! I'll give Ross a chance!

Burr is still endorsing Donald Trump. That's more than enough for him to lose my vote. I will gladly bubble in my ballot for Deborah Ross, who when she was in the State House co-sponsored legislation aimed at protecting victims of domestic violence. Don't believe the propaganda from either side. Dig a little and do your own research.

Writing bills is not always a good thing. I would enjoy seeing our legislative bodies taking a year long break and see how we survive. We have plenty of laws already on the books. You'd think after over two centuries of ever changing laws we'd settle down and enjoy our lives for a while.

Dumping Burr for endorsing Trump is silly.

He should be dumped on the merits of how his time in the Senate has helped North Carolina. He comes up pretty short, in fact too short.

Next.

He helped with that Downs Syndrome bill.....

Which is sad that he's been in Washington for over 20 years, and this is the ONLY positive thing he can make a commercial about

And before anyone starts, without knowing specifics about the bill, doing something for people with Downs Syndrome is a good thing.
