The good news continues. Forbes ranks NC just behind Utah.

And here's the rest of story. The reason NC ranks so high is that wage rates are 11% below the national average, 4th lowest of the 50 states. our ranking for economic climate is #22. So basically, we're becoming a third world state within the US. That's not worth celebrating.

Adjust your ranking based on our low cost of living and get back to us

NC COL is about 4% below the national average. As noted, wages are 11% below. Still happy?

Ecstatic!

Over the last 3 years, North Carolina has:

1 Paid off $2.75 billion in federal debt
2 Saved taxpayers $280 million per year in penalties
3 Significantly reduced both personal and corporate income tax rates, while creating a budget surplus
4 Minimized tax waste on film and unemployment subsidies (which helped push the employment rate to its highest level in eight years
5 Stood up to federal executive overreach by fighting gross reinterpretation of standing law
6 Initiated increases to teacher pay to the highest level in the entire Southeast, while still pushing for more school choice, vouchers and charters
7 Continued the transformation of North Carolina into the 2nd best state for business with the fastest growing GDP in the country, allowing local businesses to rise an average of 21 spots in the Forbes 500 (over the last year alone)
8 Proven that we can continue our rise as a top 5 solar and, potentially, wind energy producer in the country without huge levels of government funding
9 Corrected legislation that inadvertently forced businesses to allow cisgender males into female-only lockers and showers
10 Protected small businesses from potential frivolous lawsuits
11 Ranked in the top 6 states for individual income growth
12 Continued to protect the right to work without mandatory union membership
13 And kept the cost of living 4% better than the national average

How's that for the whole story? Of course it'll take a little more time to repair the damage of 100 years of Democrat control, but momentum is undeniably in our favor

LOL, so you thought the COL would make everything else go away, and you were wrong, so you pull out a bunch of irrelevant stuff you've already posted multiple times before. Nice try, but epic fail.

In case you missed it, the salient point from the Forbes ranking is that the only thing we have going for us is low wages. Just like, hmm, I don't know, oh yeah, like Mexico. We're becoming the Mexico of the US, thanks to the republican party.

Every single one of those items is relevant to the business climate. Including reasonable wage rates, which are increasing as well. Nice try, but we're actually doing great and getting better every year

It's like we crawled out of the "brown water" of the unflushed toilet and we're crawling up the side of the bowl! It's still a long way to the top of the bowl! Please feel free to start a new thread when we have the best-paid teachers in the country and North Carolina's residents income, both average and median, have surpassed the numbers for Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut or New York! I suspect my remaining life span will prevent me from seeing that new thread!

Then you need to let Forbes know, 'cause they ranked our economic climate #22. And no, how many solar panels we have is not an indicator of our business climate, lol.

Viva Carolina del norte!
