New elections are supposed to happen this year but there's a stay on it until it is either accepted as a case or not by SCOTUS. That's what I understand the current situation to be. I could be wrong or not saying it right.

I expect the courts to be the key to a resolution.

This is similar to a lot of people thinking President Obama would be handing out cash money following his election. Face it, there are a lot of unsmart people out there. I'm surprised there are not mor traffic accidents.

According to various reports, they are still negotiating behind the scenes on a repeal. Whether the legislature 's leaders will let it come to a vote soon, who knows. I find it interesting that several states have considered similar legislation in the last few weeks and so far all of them eventually realized it would be a really stupid move on their part. That tells you something.

But I'll agree anyone who thought Cooper would magically sweep it away days after his inauguration were very ill informed at best AND anyone who believes that the majority of Cooper voters actually thought that is equally ill informed.

The time line question should have been in the title of this thread. The title you chose is misleading.

This.

Plus, if the OP is as knowledgeable on this subject as he claims to be, then he is also knowledgeable enough to know there is no timeline. Which kinda calls into question the point of the post...
