Currently getting out of the Air Force and moving to NC. How are the rates and what is the best company. I hear many things about State Farm and Allstate.
I moved in December. Had Progressive on a 02 Cavilier and a 03 F-150 Truck. Was paying 992 a year on a OK policy converted quote to a Nc policy. Erie Insurance gave me 754$ year policy. Then they reduced my home insurance from 426$ a year to 325$.
I just switched from my parent's policy (5 cars, so multicar discount) in Michigan and went from $600 every 6 months (Progressive) to $460 every 6 months with Allstate. That 460 includes my renters insurance. Plus, now I receive no multicar discount. I should mention I lease an 07 Trailblazer, so I have to carry high insurance $300000/100000, which is MUCH more than what is required.
Folks .. I live in Ohio, but headed to Pinehurst area in 4 years. Have a V-8 2005 Chevy 1500 ,, insurance is great with AARP .. went from $900 a year to $435. Worth checking into. Getting old ain't so bad ... House is also covered with AARP
